Savannah Talks brings together diverse groups of people to talk about issues that affect our community and mental health. The hope, and goal, of these events is for participants to leave with a clearer vision of how these issues affect them and how they, in turn, can affect their community.
Participants are paired with people they may not normally intersect with in their daily lives to have a one hour guided conversation about topics such as race, gender, sexuality, death & dying, the death penalty, and gun violence.
At the end of each discussion, participants will hear from community advocates and professionals about ways to become involved in the community to either support efforts at positive change already underway or to start their own movement in the right direction.
